A week on Tenerife usually splits three ways: the sea off the south coast, the volcano in the middle, and a day of something for the children. These 15 are the trips worth building that week around, each with its price and running time.
Spend a day at Siam Park in Tenerife, a Thai-themed water park with high-speed slides, a lazy river, a white-sand beach and the world’s largest man-made wave. Your entry ticket covers the park; food is extra unless you choose a meal package. Bring a passport, and consider buying a Fast Pass at the box office on busy days.

Sail from Los Cristianos aboard the Travelin Lady, a yacht built for whale watching, with a guide in English, French, Spanish or Italian. Look for pilot whales, dolphins and turtles, pass the Cave of Love, then swim or snorkel if time allows. The low-center-of-gravity hull and small-group feel add comfort; guides such as Ines bring the wildlife to life.

Sail from Puerto Los Cristianos aboard the Bahriyeli, a spacious ketch with open decks and an indoor salon. A multilingual, government-certified guide explains the whales, dolphins and local marine life while the crew follows a strict no-chase policy. The two-hour trip may spot pilot whales, dolphins, turtles or other wildlife, but sightings are never guaranteed.

Spend a day at Loro Parque in Tenerife, exploring animal habitats, tropical gardens, Thai-style architecture, and four presentations featuring parrots, sea lions, dolphins, and orcas. The ticket includes park entry and the Orca Ocean presentation. Arrive early to fit in the shows and aquarium, and check the day’s schedule before choosing your route. Optional lunch at Brunelli’s Steakhouse is available with selected tickets.

This two-park ticket gets you one admission to Loro Parque in northern Tenerife and one to Siam Park in the south, to use within 14 days of your first visit. At Loro, plan around the orca, dolphin, sea-lion and parrot shows. At Siam, choose from water rides for different ages and thrill levels. QR entry is available; food and drinks are extra.
“An amazing and unforgettable experience, Siam Park is full of amazing slides to try out but I'd definitely recommend the fast pass (either €38 as of 16/9/25 or the €99) as it gets you on to every ride but 2 super quick, I dont think I waited more than 5 minutes to go on!”
Set out from Los Cristianos with a guide for a three-hour kayak trip along Tenerife’s coast, with a snorkel stop in a bay reached by boat. Short wetsuits, snorkel gear, photos, and kayaks with back support are included. Guides such as Carlos, Barbara, Gonza, and David have led trips, though your guide may differ. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.

From Puerto Colón’s pier 8, White Tenerife’s catamaran heads into the Teno-Rasca Whale Sanctuary to look for dolphins and whales. You’ll get crew commentary and underwater audio, plus a swim stop, sandwiches and drinks. Choose three hours or add two hours for more coastline and a meal. Sightings are guaranteed, or you can reschedule if availability permits.
“The trip was wonderful. People who sit in the front “beds” will be fully wet from wave splashing. But it’s so fun. The service onboard was done by Mr Abian and he was excellent. Moving around the boat as if it was the easiest thing to do, serving and assisting everyone, sharing past experiences and tips for the island. Unlimited drinks (beer and wine) were served. The captain of the boat Carlos was funny in Spanish and English. And Omar was helpful dutifully first aid scenarios (sea sickness). Travel by coach from northern or southern Tenerife into Teide National Park with a live guide, then ride the cable car to its 3,555-meter upper station. Walk the free-access trails at your own pace, use the Teide Legend audio guide and visit the Science & Legend exhibit. The summit trail needs a permit.
“Have used GYG 8 times to date and are always happy with them. Good communication about pick-up points, on time, comfortable coach. Very good and knowledgeable guide (Laura) and driver (Caramelo). Interesting trip. There were 4 breaks, we would have preferred maybe 2 breaks so we could spend more time at the Visitor Centre which was really interesting. Unfortunately the cable car was closed as it was very windy but GYG refunded the money very speedily. Recommended.”
From Los Gigantes Port, Flipper Uno’s two-hour cruise takes you into the Teno-Rasca Whale Sanctuary to look for dolphins and whales, then past the cliffs before a swim stop in a bay such as Masca, Barranco Seco, or Juan López. A cold drink is included. The host language is Spanish, and sightings depend on sea conditions.

From Puerto Colón, join a 2- or 3-hour catamaran trip with an English- or Spanish-speaking guide. Look for resident pilot whales and dolphins near offshore fish farms, hear about local marine life, and enjoy complimentary drinks. Choose three hours for a swim and snorkel stop at Playa Espagueti. From Puerto Colón, sail with a skipper such as Guy or Maxi along Tenerife’s southern coast, watching for dolphins and pilot whales in a conservation area. The shared yacht carries no more than 11 passengers, and the three-hour trip includes snacks, unlimited drinks, snorkel gear and a stop in a secluded bay. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

“I booked the VIP trip so our group of 8 recieved a more personal experience. Our guide, Peter, was welcoming and very knowledgeable. Watching the sun set from the mountains with a glass of Cava was lovely. Seeing Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons clearly through the telescopes was amazing - as was all the star gazing. Hot chocolate was a surprising bonus! Overall a wonderful evening, worth every penny.”
Set sail from Puerto Colón for about three hours aboard the Monte Cristo catamaran, with space for up to 24 people. The crew searches for pilot whales and dolphins, serves tapas and drinks, then pauses for a swim and snorkel before a coastal sail back. Hotel pickup can be requested in parts of south Tenerife.

“An excellent event hosted by Craig & Kieran who gave a very professional, friendly and amusing tour of the stars and constellations above Mount Teide. The journey up the mountain was easy with a stop midway at a traditional restaurant that served us a simple but very tasty dinner with drinks. I can really recommend this tour but do dress up warm as the temp does drop at the top although warm jackets are provided if needed. Many thanks to Craig & Kieran.”
