A week on the island goes fast. These 4 half-day tours earn a slot in it, priced and timed so the decision takes minutes and the rest of the day stays free.
In Abades Bay, a guide helps you get comfortable with your mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit before leading a one-hour snorkeling outing. Then you have a break and another half-hour in the water on your own. Groups are capped at six, and guides speak several languages. Pickup is offered from seven Tenerife locations.

Ride with a guide such as Miguel or Francois in a group capped at eight, from a viewpoint near Chirche to Teide’s lava fields and Roques de García, then Vilaflor’s giant pine. The four-to-five-hour tour includes hotel pickup and an air-conditioned vehicle. The cable car, coffee and snacks cost extra.

Set out from Mirador de La Bermeja for a guided canyoning trip in La Orotava. After a 45-minute walk beneath Canary pines, tackle seven or eight rope descents, starting with a 22-meter rappel, then hike back out. Harness, helmet, gloves and safety equipment are included.
